Don't Just Shoot Your Images And Never Show Them!!!
Ok so if you’re like me when you first started taking images and getting into photography you were no doubt snap happy. What did you do with all those images? Nothing?
We capture images as they create a reaction or produce an emotion within us. We click the shutter button as we want to capture a moment in time and share that moment with everyone who has a few moments to look at our images. We do this to try and provoke the same emotions we had at the time of captioning any particular moment.
If you’re like me I tend to shoot landscape photography and manipulate general use photos that does not mean too much to my friends and family. So how do I show my images? Well I used to enter free competitions on a website called Pxleyes which unfortunately shut down some time ago. There is now a new site called XUKIE which is free to join and has a friendly community of like minded photographers / digital artists who want to show their works. As a bonus you will become a part of a friendly community and receive friendly advice and comments on your work. As your portfolio increases you will see how you have improved as a photographer over time.
Please please please do not take all those great images and let them stay buried on your hard drive for no one to ever see them. Dust off those images so to speak and join this site and get involved with a great community of people. CHECK THIS LINK OUT.
